JOB PROFILE

We are searching for an aggressive, experienced Full Stack Web Developer to join our development team, based in our Biyem-Assi Lycée, Yaoundé office. This individual will have a measurable track record of success developing and maintaining web applications.
As part of the BW Dev Team, the full stack Web Developer will develop web applications, mobile applications and websites using the web technologies. Incumbent will participate in the maintenance, improvement, and innovation of a diverse set of digital properties. Assist in defining the vision and implementation of new features using both mature and cutting-edge technologies. Utilizing best practices, the incumbent will provide assistance in developing web pages within the confines of a Content Management system (CMS). The incumbent may also develop native mobile applications with native SDKs and cross-platform frameworks like PhoneGap/Ionic Framework.
Incumbent will be expected to utilize professional programming concepts and standards for small to medium-sized projects or portions of larger projects. Resolves a variety of programming design, compatibility and implementation issues. Works closely with senior programming and UX/UI design personnel on project assignments of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review and understanding of a variety of factors.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the Full Stack Web Developer plays a key role on the core solutions development team and an active participant in making technical decisions affecting BW Projects. In collaboration with the Chief Software Architect and Development Team, the Full Stack Web Developer is responsible for the development and maintenance of back-end and front-end features (web and mobile software systems) of BW Projects.

<p>DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:<br /> At Least 2 Years of experience and knowledge of:<br /> -Software development experience<br /> -Web development experience with PHP frameworks (CodeIgniter, Laravel, or Symphony)<br /> -RESTful APIs either with PHP or JavaScript (Node.js, Express.js). You must know at least one and be willing to learn others<br /> -HTML5/CSS3/Bootstrap<br /> -JavaScript/NodeJS/AngularJS<br /> -RDBMS MySQL/Postgre and NoSQL-MongoDB (ORM/ODM is a plus)</p>
