The Project Assistant provides administration support for a project.
The Assistant will support project manager based averseas who travel frequently to Yaounde
When project managers are in Yaoundé. the assistant arrange meetings and interpretation, among Other tasks. the absence the project manager. the assistant will represent the project and report regularly to the project Manager (main). Communication by phone. Skype.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Higher education preferred in one Of the following: Public Administration, Law. English. or related fields _
PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience providing translation and interpretation support in English and French
2. Experience in office management and administrative support
3. At least three years general office environment activities
4. Experience in teaching or developing training materials
Experience in giving written arid oral presentations or briefings
6. Experience in summarizing information as a result Of fact gathering, and expressing the Summary orally and in writing
7. Experience in working With government officials
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
The assistant have a strcmg oral and verbal command of these languages that will allow him / her to provide accurate interpretation during meetings When required. workshops and on-the-job training sessions. The project will also be called on to quickly turn-around translation requests. The assistant must be to read and write reports in English _

Prepare accurate. written reports on a regular basis on multiple projects
2. Represent the project when project managers are not in-country
3. Co-ordinate meetings and workshops
4. Record incoming and outgoing documentation, email and telephone contacts. maintain
Office files
S. Translate documents and interpret oral communication
6. Handle confidential documents with utmost discretion
7. provide general office administration
8. Manage the appointments Of project managers and assist in achieving aces* to government officials at all levels
9. Assist with travel and a arrangements. if needed
