We are looking to recruit a Field Producer to work in Yaoundeon a continuing contract.
As a Field Producer, you will be expected to organise, gather, process and deliver multimedia output, responding quickly to news and other editorial issues. You will suggest and research new stories, offer ideas for digital platforms and go on duty trips. We expect you to be creative in TV and digital storytelling techniques and interested in developments of new formats and as well as new ways of gathering and processing material from the field for multiple platforms.
The successful candidate will be a fluent French and English speaker and writer, with demonstrable experience of working in a news broadcasting environment. Knowledge of regional issues and current affairs is essential. Shooting photo and video skills and experience of gathering journalistic material through other technical means is important. You will have a thorough understanding of the latest developments in digital storytelling and have practical experience of using the relevant technology.
